I don't know about the future wife thing, but Shikaku is a guy. Shukaku is a tailed beast.

Shikaku is the name of Shikamaru's dad which I think for the most part has only ever been seen cooking from what I remember. She beat up sumo wrestlers with cookware. So maybe it's reference to this common typo.
